Only a few miles north, the adventurous traveler will find pleasant wineries, miles of forest trails, exciting white water rafting, and the magnificent Mt. Adams recreation area.  Take a scenic drive up Highway 141 to Trout Lake and then east to Glenwood, the panoramic Klickitat River Gorge and on to Goldendale.  From the viewpoint just south of Goldendale on your way to The Dalles, on a clear day you can see Mt. Hood, Mt Adams, Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier.
